We just recieved word that the FMClub is re-launching for FM2010 with more great limited edition FM and football related merchandise. It is due to go live today and you can sign up at the FMClub website.

There is more exciting news! We already know what the first months prize give-away will be….. a Football Manager table football !!!! That’s got to be the best prize that Sports Interactive & SEGA have ever given away!

Keep a close eye on the FMClub website and make sure you enter this contest. Let’s hope that a member of FMFormation wins it of course…. gives us the possibility to drop by every now and then for a good game of table football haha.

It seems to be that you all would have like the press conferences to be improved and with the addition of things like “Unveiling a new player” would you accept this to be a reasonable step up from FM09?

It also seems as though the one thing we didn’t have on the poll was the biggest change of the year, the interface.

From now on, we will be updating the site a lot and above all, we will try to make it more important. It’s our home and it should contain more than just information. Interaction is the keyword from now on!

Logging in
As you may have noticed, you can now log-in to the site as well. Previously it was only possible to log-in on the forums. To log-in, please use the same username and password as you use on the forums. If you’re experiencing problems of any kind, contact us and we will try to sort it out as soon as possible. Registering for an account still goes through the register page on the forums but it counts for the forum and the site as well.

News and comments
Before these changes we posted our news topics on the site and the forums. The main reason was that you couldn’t leave a reply on the site. This now has changed. A neat looking feature has been added and gives you the possibility to discuss and comment news topics on the site. This means that news won’t be posted on the forums anymore. The rules are the same. Only members can leave comments and please, please, please….. keep it nice! Have respect for your fellow FM fans and just have some fun.

Future changes
We are planning to a lot more with the interaction on the site. We would like to move the Guides & Articles section (which was previously on the forums) to the site. This means that members and visitors can add their guide manually on the site. We hope it gives you guys a cleaner and neater view of all the FM-related content. We’ve got some other ideas as well but for now, we would like to keep these private while we are checking out all possibilities. Once we can share more details, we will definitely do so!

We hope that everyone is counting down the minutes till FM2010 gets released. We know we are excited and we’re sure you guys are as well!

So… the monthly awards… always a happening on FMF and perhaps even more prestige than the Oscars!

For the monthly awards for July 2009, we changed the concept a bit. The staff decided the winner of each awards and not only do they get a mentioning on the homepage, they receive their very own award medal which is shown on every post a member makes and in their profile as well. Should be enough recognition right? To see an example, Bozza has a temporary (shouldn’t be but it is) award called “Awesome People”. This award will be removed once the award winners get theirs.

We hope everyone can live with the chosen winners. There were some tough decisions to make so please don’t start an argument if you disagree with a winner. There is always next time! The medals will be given to the winners this evening so don’t think we forgot you or anything like that.

Hey peeps..

Yes it is back! But back with a difference! We found the former Guide of the Month didn’t really work out very well; this was because people would often say that they would make guides and then forget to do it. So now we have restructured the competition and reformed it into GOTF (Guide of the Fortnight), we got the idea from SOTF (Sig of the Fortnight).

The very first GOTF is all about South American Talent! We (the Writers Crew) have compiled a list of 10 players that you can choose from to write your guide on, but be certain to state which player you would like to make the guide on first, then you have around 12 days time to complete the guide.

We would like to invite everyone to have a try and possibly find a new talent that you never knew you had.

A big shout out goes to Angel-SVK, Abeatty2209, Ede, ToggiT & BBK for helping me with this project.

I will no longer be creating any of these logos as I have plans to release a new facepack athough dont be disapointed, many of the leagues have been completed an im sure other members will still continue with the occasional pack.

If you have downloaded any individual packs so far I suggest you delete them and download the mega pack all as one, this way everything should be up to date and working correctly

But that’s over now. The entire staff is back and, like ABeatty once said, ready to roxxor your boxxor! In the coming months we will update the site, the forums, provide you with the latest news and come up with new ideas. All the ingredients to get past the summer and preparing for the release of FM2010.

To make the above possible, we’ve decided to get busy with the current staff. Who is out and who is in? It’s just like being a football club. Coaches get released and new coaches are appointed. So you might wonder, what are the transfers?

Staff Out:
Let us first start with the staff members who are leaving the crew of FMF and return back as a member, donator, VIP or something else exciting. FMF can’t be seen as a primary objective in life and all the hard labour done by the staff is being done in their free time. Something we as admins appreciate enormously but at the same time we can understand that the free time won’t last forever and that a personal situation can change. This can be in favour of FMF but also the other way around.

Being Unique & Liveru
Two guys which have shown that they can do their job very well but unfortunately, have been inactive for quite a while now. We have decided that it is time to free them and hopefully, they will continue to work on the site as valuable members. Thanks to the both of you for spending all those hours into FMF and it won’t be forgotten! Hope to see you guys on FMF for a long time to come…

Staff In:
That was the difficult part, now it’s time for the celebrations. By most members, it’s seen as an honor to join the staff of FMF and be part of an unique family, striving to become the best and most joy able FM site in the scene. With two staff members leaving, we are really in need of some fresh blood who can hopefully fulfil their potential, like they’ve already shown as a regular member. In full collaboration with the staff members, we’ve made some decision and we all think these guys will make us proud for a very long time.
Let us introduce the new signings.

LiamHart – GFX Moderator
Not even a year on FMF but a constant first team player and already signed his first professional contract. All kidding aside, Sios personally advised him to us and despite his young age we believe he will perform his job on a mature and active level. Welcome to the family mate!

Bowser – Trial Moderator
Another youngster, we just can’t get enough of them. With 14 years of age, Bowser is probably one of the youngest staff member of the entire FM scene. We believe that Bowser is well above his age and the way he helps members and stays active makes him a perfect example for others. We are proud to have you here matey!

Angel-SVK – Trial Moderator
When we appointed Fedorico Roma fan, we thought that it couldn’t get any crazier than having someone from Croatia on-board. But then we noticed Angel-SVK, a Slovakian living in Ireland. We thought by ourselves: This guy is a collectors’ item!
We already spoke with Angel a while back about him becoming a Moderator. Unfortunately, it took a long time before we finally got all the paperwork done (yes, it was our fault). But like a wise man once said: Better late than never! Angel-SVK will join as a Trial Moderator but will most likely spend most of his mod-time on the GFX sections. We hope that he will form a fantastic team with Sios and Liam! Good luck Mr. Slovakian!

JefferyDCapus – Trial Moderator
Eight months ago, this Atletico Madrid fan joined FMF and since that moment, it seemed like he was just everywhere. He even appear once in one of Fedorico’s exciting dreams…. or should we say nightmare in this particular case? All kidding aside, with over 10 posts per day, he is on a sweet roll. But you guys all know that you won’t become a Moderator on FMF if you just post a lot. Jeffery has been the helping hand for a lot of members. We are certain that this football and rugby fanatic will get his muscles ready for the job and that we, the staff and the members, will benefit a lot from his hard work and talent to do the right things. Aloha Jeff!

John10 – Trial Moderator
You might think by yourself: Am I crazy of do I know this fella? You aren’t crazy…. it’s John10, once a beloved Moderator and now ready to achieve that exact same status. John is a perfect example of what we explained above. Not everyone can mix their personal life with FMF. There are times that you have to make decisions. It doesn’t matter what the decision was for John but he resigned with his own reasons and we respected him for doing so. However, we’ve always kept the door open for him and now he would like to grab that opportunity by re-joining the crew. John believes he can do his job again and we are happy to give him a trial to prove that!

Staff Changes:
Some left, some new ones joined but on an internal level there are some changes as well. Evertonfan once was the only full-time Moderator but those times are over. Just simply point your finger at Evertonfan and laugh. It’s simple, fun to do and it doesn’t cost a dime!

oO SioS Oo – Moderator
This guy, who goes under the aliases The King and Iron Mike, was done a tremendous job as a Trial Moderator. Working his butt off with creating graphics, helping others to become better and organizing some sections. Just a couple of things that Sios showed during his trial period. It’s not more than normal that Sios join the staff of FMF as a full time moderator. Even though we are living in such tough times, he will receive a raise of 300%! You deserved it mate!

ABeatty2209 – Moderator
For some better known as Alberto Gonzalez Rios de Pauleta, this guy proved to us that he does more than his job description and we can only thank the lord for people like that. With ABeatty and John10, we have someone from Ireland and Northern Ireland in our family. That’s just fun guaranteed! Besides his activeness, it seems like he is a Russian financer to FMF. He is part of a very select group called The FMF’s Vips.

Final Words:
Now that we’ve taken some time to introduce all the staff changes, it is time to roll up our sleeves and get some work done. The staff is currently collecting and discussing ideas for the coming months. When we have news, you’ll be the first to know!
